Wireless Door Monitor DM2

Short Description
A door monitor with a wireless receiver that will alert family and carer's when a door is opened. The receiver can be located in the one position, or used as a portable unit. The alarm is battery operated - batteries are provided. Suitable for domestic applications.

Price Guide
Refer to supplier details for pricing.

More Details
The alarm has two components:

RECEIVER
The unit has a switch for off and volume level (high or low) and requires 2 x AA batteries. It can be carried in a pocket or clipped onto a belt using the built-in clip, or kept in one location. If used as a portable unit, it is recommended that it be tested in all the required locations to ensure the reception and range is adequate.

TRANSMITTER
. The transmitter is mounted high up on the outer edge of the door frame (ie. on the latch side of the door). A small magnet is attached to the corner of the door adjacent to the transmitter, no more than 3 - 8 mm apart. When the door is opened, the break in the connection between the magnet and transmitter causes the receiver alarm to sound.
. The transmitter requires a 9 volt battery. An on/off toggle switch is located on the left side of the unit.
. The transmitter and magnet can be initially mounted using double sided tape, and then screwed into position once it has been tested.

Both units can be turned off when not in use, to prolong battery life.
