Short Description
A directional radio transmitter and receiver system to help locate people who wander. The radio transmitter is worn by the person and in the ACT the receiver is held by the police.

More Details
. The system consists of a radio transmitter installed in a pendant worn around the neck of a wanderer or in a belt. The necklet is short and contains the aerial.
. The transmitter is sealed and fully waterproof. It has a battery life of
approximately 4 months, after which it should be returned for replacement
battery, testing and service.
. The receiver pinpoints the direction from which the signal is coming, its
feedback tone increasing as the pendant (worn by the wanderer) is located.
. The handheld antenna connects to the receiver and is used to ascertain the direction of the signal from the pendant transmitter.

Range: 1 km in built-up area.
4 - 5 km over open ground.
35 km from air.

. Radio transmitter can be supplied as a pendant worn around the neck, or as a belt, with a zippered back.
. Colours - black or tan.
. Check with supplier regarding the possibility of accessing a receiver unit which is already in operation in your area.
