Short Description
A voice output communication aid which records messages. These can be played back by pressing the corresponding button. This small portable device can be used in any language as the user or carer programmes their own message. Available in Mini Message Mate with 8 key keyboard, Message Mate 20 or 40 key keyboards.

MESSAGEMATE
. Records any language, voice or sound.
. Each key is 20 mm square.
. Combine keys to make bigger keys
. Switch settings allow the user to group keys for larger key pads and
longer recordings.
. A light touch is required to activate the key. A clear plastic stiffener
is used for heavier touch.
. Scanning can be programmed into the system as linear or column -
row scan, using one or two switches. Scan rates can be adjusted
from 1/4 of a second to eight seconds per step. Scanning can be
silent or with an audible click.
. On/off/volume dials
. Four different acceptable times can be programmed into the
computer.
. One year parts and labour warranty.
Requires a rechargable battery.

. 20 key keyboard has 1 or 2 minutes of recording time.
. 40 key keyboard, with two minutes of recording time.
Messages are stored with digitised speech ie. human voice recorded
directly onto the device in a similar manner to a tape recorder.
