Cochlear Implant Adapter

Short Description
This product provides a direct connection and interface between the telephone and a cochlear implant speech processor (the external part of the implant) for clearer telephone reception. It consists of a small box about the size of a pager, with a handset selector switch and volume control, an adaptor output cord which connects to the speech processor and another cord which connects to the telephone handset socket. Two models are available.

. Users need to be unable to use a standard headset.
. Users need to be a Telstra customer and have local calls with Telstra
. Users are required to complete an application form and have it signed by a GP, Audiologist, Opthalmologist, Optometrist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist.
