Australian Tax Office
GST exemption is available for:
Veterans with a disability who use the car for personal transportation for two years or travel 40,000 kilometres after the date of purchase.
Person with a disability who uses the car to travel to or from gainful employment for two years, or travel 40,000 kilometres after the date of purchase.
ACT Registration
A person with a pension concession may be exempt from the registration fee. The third party component of the registration is still payable.
Stamp Duty
Stamp duty is only paid on the original cost of the vehicle and not the cost of the modification as well.
