Short Description
The Hand Trike is for individuals who have limited or no use of their lower limbs, but can use their hands to pedal and steer the trike. It is a recumbent design with a semi-reclined mesh seat, a sliding footrest for leg length adjustment and centrally mounted crank with arm length adjustment handles.
Caution
Because the trike is low to the ground it may be difficult for other vehicles to see it (though it is supplied with a safety flag and no major problems have been reported by users).
Can be difficult to get on/off the trike.

Method Of Use
The individual sits on the trike in a recumbent position (sitting low to the ground with their back supported by the mesh in a semi-reclined position). The trike is propelled by holding onto the levers and turning them in a clockwise position (note: they turn together and not in a reciprical pattern). Steering is controlled by turning either left or right with the hands.
