Short Description
A vest which is used to position and restrain children and adults in a vehicle or wheelchair. They feature a shoulder harness and two chest straps with a choice of closures, two loops to thread lap seat belt through, four metal D clips on which to clip the seat mount strap. A portable crotch strap can be added if required. A restraint is also available for a child who needs to travel whilst lying down on the car seat. The vest can be put on the user before entering the vehicle, and is clipped into place at four points (each side of waist and shoulders). It releases quickly in the event of an accident when the person must be quickly removed from the vehicle.

THIS IS A POSITIONING BELT ONLY AND WHEN USED IN A VEHICLE, MUST BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SEAT BELT.

SAFETY
Although the vest meets USA standards, it has not been tested for Australian standards. It therefore must be used in conjunction with a fitted seat belt.

FEATURES
. Choice of closures includes: back closure with velcro or zipper closure,
front closure with push button buckle or buckle rings.
. Vest can be put on a person before entering the vehicle.

VEHICLE INSTALLATION OPTIONS
Four types of mounting systems are available: Portable Seat Mount; Permanent Floor Mount; Tether Strap Mount; Wheelchair Mount.
Any of the four mounting types can be used in buses or vans.
In a car, especially the front seat of a car, the portable seat mount is best used.
For the rear seat, a tether strap is bolted to the rear window panel or in the boot.
For wheelchair use, a wheelchair mounting strap is used which crosses at the back and loops around the frame of the wheelchair.

For buses: Permanent floor mount

Permanent seat frame mount with tether strap (to be used
existing belt)
For vans: Permanent floor mount
Portable seat mount
Permanent seat frame mount with tether strap (to be used with
existing seat belt).
For cars: Front seat installation with tether strap bolted permanently to
floor - used with existing seat belt.
Back seat with tether strap bolted to rear window panel or in
trunk.

Sizes: Available in a range of sizes from Extra Small to Extra Extra Large.
Waist 102cm - Extra large (XL)
Waist 109cm - Extra Extra Large (XXL)
All vests expand to the next size except the model with the back
zipper closure.

METHOD OF USE
Place the vest on the user, ensuring the insignia is on the left front. Position the person on the seat and clip the shoulder and waist loops to the tether strap.

Measure the person's waist over an outdoor coat and select the correct size (if an adult female, also measure chest).
