Q-5001-T TRACK SYSTEM
Consists of front and rear belts which attach to the wheelchair frame and to attachment points on vehicle floor (either flush or on top of the floor). Rear belts have tightening clamps:
. Steel chair attachment hooks are covered with vinyl to protect
the chair frame.
. The occupant is restrained separately by a lap belt which
connects directly to the rear tie-down belt so that the stress from a sudden stop is placed directly on the rear belts and not on the chair frame.
. Shoulder belt may be attached to lap belt. NOTE: In Australia, bus or van bodies need extra reinforcement for this attachment.

Q-5001 POCKET SYSTEM
Consists of four flush mounted pocket inserts for attachment of restraint straps. Useful in a situation where the same sized wheelchair is always being restrained. Not suitable for multi-user situations.

RETRACTABLE SECUREMENT SYSTEM
. QRT Q-8100-A1 Deluxe Retractor System
. QRT Q 8200-A1 Econo Retractor System
These restraint systems have automatic retractors on each wheelchair and occupant restraint strap. The straps retract out of sight when not in use and the belts are protected from damage by a hard or soft cover.

QRT CUSTOM SYSTEM
This system allows a choice of retractable chair tie downs and retractable/non retractable occupant restraints.

OPTIONS FOR REGULAR USER:
. A high strength bracket and lap assembly can be permanently fitted to the wheelchair. This speeds up tie-down in the vehicle and provides a permanent lap belt for the occupant.

Licence and Insurance Requirements
In the ACT the installation of restraint systems into vehicles must be inspected by an Engineer certified by Road User Services (in NSW an RTA certified Engineer). It is advised that any proposed vehicle modifications/installations are discussed with the Technical Unit at Road User Services on 13 22 81 and the vehicle insurance company is contacted to discuss whether the alterations will affect the insurance cover.
Training must be provided by the supplier in the use of the restraint system. An instruction book must be provided as well as written instructions displayed in the vehicle into which the system has been fitted.
