Short Description
Activan is a Chrysler Voyager van which has been adapted to accommodate a wheelchair user as a driver or passenger. It has side entry with wheelchair access to the driver or front passenger space. The floor is lowered to include head room.

. Modifications include a lowered floor with self levelling air suspension, slip resistant flooring or carpeting, removable driver's and passenger seat base, automatic powered lock down restraint system, powered or manual ramp with gas shock assist, powered door opening / closing, moulded step running boards.
. CHRYSLER VOYAGER is adapted for right hand driving with a crash tested kit from USA (RTA approved).
. Ramp access into the vehicle is through a 810mm wide side door into the mid vehicle section.
. An in floor ramp slides out and in - hidden from view - when not is use.
. Has a driver's side rear passenger door.
. Can be altered to accommodate 1 to 3 people in a wheelchair with a maximum seating capacity of 7 including the driver.
. Ramps - manual or powered versions.
. Three back seats are repositioned at the back of the van to allow space for a wheelchair.
. Alternative key operation of powered door opening / closing in the event of the remote control not working.

. Complies with all current Australian safety standards (Federal Office Road Safety).
When purchasing a wheelchair accessible vehicle or a vehicle to be used with a roof mounted wheelchair hoist consider the vertical clearances of these in relation to the vertical clearances recommended by AS2890.1 (Off street Car Parking), and AS4299 (Adaptable Housing).
The recommendations are as follows.
* Vertical clearance at the entrance to an off street car park - minimum 2200mm
The height of the vehicle or the height of the vehicle plus the hoist and folded wheelchair on the roof should be less than 2200mm to enter an off street car park.
* Vertical clearance above an accessible car parking space - minimum 2500mm. The vertical height required to unload / load a wheelchair on/off the vehicle roof should be less than 2500mm.
