Short Description
This product will eliminate lifting when transferring in and out of the car. It consists of a contoured seat with headrest, and a wheel base with transit or self propelling wheels. The seat is wheeled to the car passenger door, the seat will slide into the car using the Auto Adapt Turnout swivel base mounted on the car floor. The wheeled base can be stowed in the boot. The Carony can be used as a regular wheelchair.

SEAT
. Several seat models are available for use with this product including low-height seats suitable for car travel, and a seat with powered adjustments.

ARMRESTS
. Standard: swing away.

WHEELS
. Carony 12: Front wheels 200mm x 50 mm; Rear wheels 312mm x 56mm.
. Carony 24: Front wheels 175mm x 27mm; Rear wheels 600mm diameter.
. The self propelling wheels have a quick release mechanism for boot stowage.

ADJUSTMENT
. The wheelchair frame is vertically adjustable to conform to different car models and ground conditions when you transfer into the car.
. For the self-propelled model, the position of the wheels is adjustable to meet the user`s needs.

AREAS FOR USE
. Can be used in the front and rear passenger seat positions.


Models
4 models are available each consisting of a wheelbase and a choice of seat, headrest, armrests, push handles, footrest, carriage and rails.

For high-sill vehicles such as mini buses, Carony can be combined with the Turny car seat lift.

Carony 12
. 12 inch (transit) rear wheels.
. Used in conjunction with the Turny Car Seat Lift.

Carony 24
. 24 inch (self propelling) rear wheels.
. Three different drive wheel locations.
. Supplied standard with anti tippers.
. Used in conjunction with the Turny Car Seat Lift.

Carony Fixed
. Same as the Carony 12 except that the undercarriage is a fixed standard height.
. Supplied standard with anti tippers.
. Can only be used with Turny Seat.

Carony Kids
. Seat depth of 400mm to suit children or small adults.
. Available with transit or self propelling wheels.
. Growth adjustable in seat depth, lateral supports and neck cushion.
. Foot rack.
. Can be converted to adult size when the child outgrows the seat, via a kit from AutoAdapt.

Installation
Carony rails must be mounted inside the vehicle to use the Carony seat. The rails can be mounted in the front or rear passenger seats. Installation must be completed by an authorised agent.



Method Of Use
1. Turn the swivel base out of the car, ready to receive the seat.
2. Remove the push handles and footrest from the Carony wheelchair base. Dock the seat into the swivel transport.
3. Release the safety stop on the Carony wheelchair frame and push the chair into the car. Unload the wheelchair frame from the swivel and the seat.
4. Turn the seat into position in the car. Fasten the seat belt.
5. Store the wheelchair frame in the boot. Ensure it is well anchored.
