AMPUT/LIFTING VEST

Short Description
A range of slings designed for use with Guldmann hoists. A wide range of materials, sizes and styles is available.

More Details
Materials:
. Nylon for standard slings
. Cotton is more comfortable for people who sit or lie on their sling for long periods.
. Polyester mesh is suitable for bathing. Drip dry quality.
Paddings:
Most slings can be supplied with padded sections. Can be velvet or synthetic sheepskin. Normally have removable foam pads for added comfort.
Lifting straps:
Made from synthetic fibre. Most provided extra loops for height and angle adjustment.
Extension straps (optional)
Handles:
Most slings are fitted with strong handles for manoeuvring and positioning, also for moving along horizontal track.
Positioning stripes:
. Helps to centre the sling on the user
. High back slings - green stripe, low back slings - blue stripes, special slings - red stripe.
Colours:
Nylon slings are grey, cotton and mesh slings are white.
Sizes:
Most are available in 5 sizes: X small - X large. Special slings can be made to order.


Models
Slings with Undivided Legs
. Suitable for people who have had amputations, those in pain and for users who will sit or lie for long periods in their sling.
. Low and high back models
. Nylon, cotton or polyester mesh

Amputee Sling
. Suitable for both single and double amputations as well as low and most high amputations as it provides extra support across the back and shoulders.
. Velvet covered padded legs
. Nylon, medium size, red stripe helps positioning

Lifting Vest
. For people who cannot stand unaided
. Useful in rehabilitaiton departments to help people stand, walk and balance.
. Can also be used to aid transfers from bed to chair or toilet. User's lower body is accessible for dressing / undressing.
. Designed for use with Guldmann ceiling-mounted and mobile hoists.
. 3 sizes - small, medium and large. Red stripe helps positioning.

Toilet Slings
. Facilitates dressing / undressing for toileting.
. Arms and leg sections are padded.
. Leg section must be near user's crutch and arms outside the sling to prevent slipping through the gap.
. Model with added support has a chest strap which allows the user to be angled backwards to relieve pressure on the shoulders.
. Red stripe aids positioning.
. Nylon, 5 sizes - X-small, small, medium, large, X-large.

Divided Leg Support Slings
. High back (green stripe) or low back (blue stripe). High back is suitable for those with llittle or no head / upper body control as well as those who need to be lifted from a lying position.
. Nylon, cotton or polyester mesh
. 5 sizes
. Optional foam padded nylon or synthetic sheepskin leg panels .
. A narrow back version is available for tall thin people.

Horizontal Lifting Supports (see separate product information)

Special Lifting Hanger with Band Slings
. A metal suspension system supplied with two hook-on PVC covered foam padded band slings. One band is placed behind the occupant's back and the other under the thighs.
. Suitable for toiletting as the clothes can be removed while occupant is still in the sling.
. Persons using this sling must have some degree of muscle control.
