Lap Cushion

Short Description
A foam cushion/tray that can be either curved around the patient's body or straight. The cushion can be used as both a tray and as an alternative to a restraint, to remind a patient not to stand. It can also used as an alternative to a gutter armrest for CVA patients, to help prevent oedema.

The foam can be cut to size, using an electric carving knife to suit the patient's body shape.

Cleaning Requirements
To prolong the life of the cover and foam, always air dry in shade.
Cover: Spray and wipe clean or remove foam and hand or machine wash up to 80°. Do not tumble dry.
Foam: Hand wash foam squeezing out excess water. Handle with care when wet. Do not wring or tumble dry.


Caution
"It is possible for the patient to remove the Cushion, though any device that the patient cannot remove should be considered as a restraint, so the necessary restraint authorisation would be necessary and this should be fully documented." (From Pelican website.)
