Short Description
A range of wheelchair cushions designed to reduce pressure. The cushions are made from a visco-elastic foam that moulds itself to the user's shape. Temper T foam is a slow recovery foam that becomes softer as the temperature rises and firmer as the temperature falls. Cushion resumes its own shape when not being sat on. Similar qualities to high density foam in its moulding characteristics. Three densities are available ie. Soft, Medium, Firm.

More Details
. Also known as slow memory foam.
. Available in three densities: soft, medium and hard. Specify density
required.
. Covered with blue, washable, stretchable fabric cover that can be removed. Also available with waterproof vinyl, at extra cost - if ordered.
. Risk factor for preventing pressure sores depends on user reaction. It works better in combination with other foams. This foam has a tendency to eventually "bottom out" and become hard - when this happens it should be replaced.

Cleaning and care of temper foam:
. Soak in a mild solution of warm water and soap.
. Rinse with water and squeeze.
. To dry, place in oven heated to 16 degrees, or lay on a table at room temperature.
Note: High temperatures make temper foam fragile. Do not fold when hot or when storing. Sustained folding can lead to splitting.
