Short Description
The Power Assist System is specifically designed for the Jewel Tilt in Space Manual Wheelchair. The drive wheel is mounted between the transit wheels at the back of the wheelchair. The control switch is situated next to the push handles and has variable speed settings using a dial. An on off toggle switch is on the control box. To activate the forward movement a red button is depressed and held down. It can be fitted to a new manual wheelchair or retro fitted to an existing wheelchair if attachments are compatible.

Requires a Jewel Assist Rolling Base.
Can be retrofitted to an existing Jewel in Space Wheelchair. Requires the tilt in space pedal to be relocated to the side of the frame to make space for the Power Assist to be mounted.
Can be free wheeled.
Dry cell battery.
Can be fitted with hub brakes to assist braking on downward gradients. These are operated using a hand brake lever at each push handle.
Push handles can be height adjustable using square tubing.
