Short Description
A battery operated power pack that can be fitted to a manual wheelchair. It helps a carer push a manual wheelchair - all the carer has to do is guide the wheelchair, with The Power Pak providing the force to move the wheelchair. It is designed to be attached to Denyer wheelchairs but can be modified to attach to other brands. The Power Pak can also be fitted to trolleys to help avoid OH &S; injuries and has been successfully fitted to library, operating theatre, catering and linen trolleys.

The Power Pak is located under the rear of the wheelchair seat. It is connected by a cord to the Attendant Control which is mounted beside the right hand push handle.
Forward speed is adjustable and may need to be adjusted to suit the weight of the wheelchair occupant e.g. a larger person would require a higher speed of operation.
There is a single rear speed.
It is a fixture on the chair so the chair cannot be folded when it is attached.
Key lock for safety and security
Power supply: single rechargeable sealed battery. Charger included
Can be adapted to existing wheelchair at a nominal charge but is not suitable for sports style wheelchairs as they are too light to support the weight of the Power Pak.
Features of the chair include:
Inbuilt brakes (no hand operated brakes).
Once fitted with the Power Pak, the chair is attendant propelled only.
Safety Features
The chair features Positive Traction Control, providing contact with the ground at all times.

Only one model is now available, the Senior (there were previously two - the Junior and Senior).
Suits wheelchairs with a seat width of 16, 18 or 20" i.e 400, 460 or 500mm.
