Short Description
Centec is the Centre Technical Service provided by the Spastic Centre of NSW. It provides a customised seating service to adults and children with any disability. This includes stroller inserts, wheelchair seating and wheelchair prescription.

The range of services offered include:-
. Client evaluation to establish abilities, postural requirements and other positioning needs.
. Specialist seating and positioning equipment prescription.
. Fabrication of seating/positioning equipment.
. Prescription for both manual and powered wheelchairs.
. Client evaluation and prescription for power mobility control options.
. Information and advice to families and other professionals working with people with disabilities.
The Team:-
. The team includes a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, therapy
assistants and technicians.
. Collaborative consultations are offered to families and other relevant
agencies such as Assistive Technology Service.
Location of Service:-
. All services are provided on site at Allambie with regular seating and
mobility consultations offered in each region.
. Outreach rural services and resource displays are available at request.
