Short Description
An adjustable, padded head support device designed for use by people who are recovering from vitrectomy (eye surgery) and are required to remain face down for several weeks. The head support can be used in a sitting or lying position. This equipment is available for hire from the supplier.

More Details
Retina Rest consists of 3 sections
the head support (which is horseshoe shaped and adjustable in height and angle to fit the individual).
The chest support - this section provides a soft surface for the user to lean against when using the retina rest in sitting. The chest support is removed when using the head support in a lying position.
The stabilising section - which sits on the table top when used in sitting or between the mattress and bed base when used in lying

There is also an integrated mirror which allows the person to see in front of them (ie to watch television)

The Retina rest is supplied with 2 washable covers. The covers can also be wiped clean.
