Uplift Seat

Short Description
An upholstered lifting cushion designed to give assistance when getting in and out of chair. To activate, the user leans forward and pushes slightly with the arms. The seat is self powered by a hydraulic system gas filled cylinder. It adds one inch to the height of the seat when it is sat upon. It has 6 adjustment settings to suit the user's weight.

. It has slip resistant material on the base to assist in keeping it in place.
. The foam padded cushion is upholstered in a double knit polyester fabric. A waterproof cover is also available.
. An inbuilt handle makes the cushion portable and easy to carry.
. The seat weighs 4.2 kg
. Also available in a memory foam cushion -T foam - for people who have greater risk of developing pressure sores.
.Plastic Covers

Safety
. Use on chairs with arms and a stable seating surface.
. Ensure that the chair which the Uplift is to be used on will not slide on the floor.
. If it is to be used on a wheelchair, ensure that the brakes are on.
. Does not have locking device, so if you lift weight off seat to change position, it may start standing you up when you are not ready.



Models
The Uplift is recommended for people between 37 to 104 kg.
The Uplift Plus is recommended for people between 90 and160kg.

Both models have six settings so the lifting mechanism can be adjusted to suit the weight of the user. To adjust the seat, push down on the flexible seat and move the lift actuator to the appropriate setting.
