More Details
Frame
16 gauge stainless steel with a degree of "flex" incorporated into the design.

Features
180 degree back recline
45 degree seat tilt
Trendelenburg option (feet level above head level when reclined)
Full length leg rest
Adjustable height arm rests
Multipositionable upper body supports (lateral and neck)
Colson Single TECH directional wheel system that permits the chair to be more easily pushed around corners
Rear brakes are operated via a flip down/up lever located above the rear castor
Front brakes are operated by a small latch located on the castor

Full recline permits access for checking/changing continence products.
Webbing allows for air circulation and heat exchange over the occupant's skin.

Low seat height of chairs may facilitate transfers to and from the chair.
Flexible frame may be suitable for clients with spontaneous problematic movements eg people with dementia, Huntington's Chorea or Athetoid Cerebral Palsy.

The load capacity of all Broda chairs is a function of the castors. The 1225mm casters can each hold up to 100kg, and the 150mm casters can hold up to 150kg. The total weight capacity is usually based on three castors in case of uneven terrain.

Models
One model only.

Options
1. Individual wheelchair- style foot plates.

2. Bariatric Seating
Broda can build chairs with seat widths up to 760mm wide.
Seat depth, height and back length can also be customised.
Seat and Back for Bariatric chairs - double weaved strapping on seat and back for chairs larger than 560mm.

Depending on the customisation, other modifications can be done to the chairs, such as changes to the padding, legrest, and footrest lengths and widths.

When building chairs with seat widths greater than 560mm, Broda double weaves the strapping and uses two or more cylinders to better accommodate the weight in the chair for easy tilting and reclining. The increased seat width does not limit positioning capabilities.

Customisation often involves several modifications to the frame of a chair as well as the padding. This means there may be additional costs and increased lead times for production.
