Short Description
An anti-pressure mattress for a single bed. It consists of 3 cushions which fit into a tray which has a foam filled surround covered with plastic. Each Aqua-pad is a stabilized water cushion with 50 mm of foam inside. Each cushion contains 11-12 litres of water. The fill / drain vent is placed on underside of pad when in use. The mattress can be placed on top of any standard bed which has a firm base.

. Aqua-pad can be custom made to size required.
. Standard model 9002 has no cover.
. Deluxe model 9002D has a waterproof cover.
The Aqua Pad is designed to provide comfort and distribution of pressure for people who are at low to medium risk of developing pressure sores.
Comments
· The insulating cover is manufactured from Nylex Mediflex. Mediflex has been formulated fire, urine and stain resistant.
· The cover retains the user's warmth by insulating the person from the water.
· The cover provides a hygienic sealed top to the mattress overlay thus reducing the need (when incontinence is a problem) for any further waterproofing.
· The cover is also sanitised to prevent bacterial and fungal growth.
· The Thermo-Incontinent Overlay/Cover is also available for any existing Aqua Pad Flotation Mattress Overlay.
PLEASE NOTE: Waterbed Heaters are not to be used with either the Standard Aqua Pad or the Aqua Pad Deluxe Flotation Mattress Overlays.
