Short Description
An electrically operated mattress replacement system comprising a low profile alternating overlay mattress on a modular convoluted foam base and a pump. The cover has a double zip to separate the air cells from the foam base. Suitable for people at medium to high risk of pressure sore development. Available in single size.
Caution
All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be considered.

STRUCTURE
100% PU - PVC air cells in a horizontal configuration across the bed.
Convoluted foam base
Transport capability - a plug can be inserted in the ends of the connecting tubes to maintain inflation of the mattress.
