Short Description
Electrically operated adjustable beds with position adjustments to backrest/head elevation, knee break, and height. The 8350 model also includes trendelenberg /tilt. Available in three widths. Suitable for bariatric use.
Caution
Most Alrick beds have an 'arc of lift / horizontal movement' when the bed height is adjusted. The space between the wall, and the bed buffer at the head of the bed, varies (depending on the model) from 10cm at the beds lowest height to 30cm at the beds maximum height adjustment. This means that extra space lengthwise, may have to be considered when selecting the bed for small rooms.
More Details
FRAME
The frame of the bed is made from powder coated steel and features a sheet metal mattress base and four corner buffs.
HEADBOARD / FOOTBOARD
A range of headboards and footboards is available.
ADJUSTMENTS
include backrest angle, knee break position and bed height. These may all be operated independently. The Alrick 8350 model includes Trendenlenberg adjustment.
CONTROLS
are hand held on an extendable cord. Single control piece with flat rectangular push buttons, which each have a specific function, operates the beds.
MATTRESS
Various mattress options including convoluted or standard foam. Covers may include a vapour permeable, breathable, water resistant cover with two way stretch.
CASTORS
The bed has 150mm, central lock castors.
BRAKES
central locking pedal type brake operates on all four castors
BED RAILS
Side rails are optional and fold down alongside the bed.
SAFETY FEATURES
Battery back up is available to enable the bed to be operated in the event of power failure.
POWER SOURCE
is through a 240 volt power point. The power is supplied to the hand piece through a 12 volt transformer.

STORAGE
For storage purposes, bed can be lowered to its lowest height, backrest section needs to be tied or secured with an electric cable tie, and bed can then be tipped on its side. (Bed Mover Wheel Set can be used for moving and positioning bed)
Factors To Consider
Legrest raise: leg section of bed elevates and bends at knee area and the foot end of the bed remains elevated parallel to the bed frame
Knee break: leg section of bed elevates and bends at knee area so the legs below the knee are angled downwards (triangular configuration).

Bed Mover Wheel Set (for moving bed vertically through doorways). The wheels clamp on one side of the bed and the bed is tipped vertically to be moved. Ensure the elevation backrest section is tied down for moving, and storage purposes. (An electric cable tie can be used to secure the backrest section).
