Short Description
A range of reusable, absorbent bedpads made from quilted polyester. They are available with or without tuck-in flaps, and with or without a waterproof backing. They are designed to assist in the management of incontinence, and are suitable for use with adults and children.

Price Guide

More Details
The bed pads are made from a stay dry surface layer and an absorbent layer. Tuck-in flaps are made from polycotton and the waterproof material is a reinforced slip resistant vintex. The waterproof backing is unstitched at the sides to allow for quicker drying after washing, and for easy viewing of the "Time-To-Change" identifying line.

Crystal bed pads incorporate a "Time to Change" line (a red line of stitching approximately three and half inches in from the side opening on the underside of the white absorbent layer). This line gives a visual prompt as to when it is necessary to change the bed pad.

The surface layer is a blue coloured, quilted, brushed polyester fabric. When a person voids, the urine rapidly passes through the polyester and is absorbed and dispersed by the rayon fabric beneath. Within a few minutes any moisture remaining on the brushed polyester surface is evaporated by body heat, and the person again lies on a comfortable dry surface.

These absorbent bed pads help to reduce the frequency of changes required. In most cases a person should be comfortably dry after a full night's sleep with no sheet changes. (However if a person is being nursed with a turning routine this should be continued).

All bed pads should be washed before use to activate the absorbent fibres.
DO NOT USE BLEACHES OR FABRIC SOFTENERS.

Method Of Use
Place waterproof backed bed pads directly on top of bottom sheet and tuck in side flaps if they exist. For the bed pads that do not have a waterproof backing, it will be necessary to place a waterproof drawsheet
directly on the bottom sheet then place the bed pad on top of it. For maximum benefit the person's skin should be in direct contact with the blue surface layer.
