Short Description
Portable scales that enable wheelchair occupants to be weighed whilst they remain in their wheelchair. It consists of a platform and stand for the information display. Accommodates all types of wheelchairs. Battery powered or mains operation.
More Details
Roll on / roll off operation. The scales have a ramp attached to the base which tilts to allow the wheelchair onto the scales, then returns to its original position.
The scales have a 20 mm LCD digital display. Weights may be displayed in kilograms or pounds.
Features 'tare' function which allows the wheelchair to be weighed by itself and then with the person in it, the scales automatically deduct the weight of the wheelchair.
The scales are powered by 6 X "C" batteries, or 9V AC/DC adaptor.
The scales may be transported by folding, and wheeling them on the small wheels. Two handles are positioned on either side of the display unit.
