Short Description
Conventional bath boards and insert bath seats cannot be used with triangular shaped spa baths because their methods of attachment to the bath sides are designed to fit standard rectangular baths. This information sheet suggests a number of boards and seats which may be suitable for, or which may be custom made to suit, a spa bath.

Model 1
Custom made bath board - a bath board could have one end cut at an angle to suit the angled side of the spa bath. Companies which could custom make a bath board include Henrycare, Endeavour Industries, Technical Aid for the Disabled
Model 2
Extended bath board which has a leg resting on the bathroom floor could be used over the narrower end of the spa bath. Suppliers include Henrycare, Endeavour Industries.
Model 3
Tub Transfer Benches - these benches stand on for adjustable height legs - two which are positioned inside the spa and two outside the spa on the bathroom floor. The seat extends over the top of the spa, and can be used as a transfer aid at a height to suit the user and the spa height. A rail and a backrest assist with transfers and security. Models are available from: Invacare, Ausmedic and North Coast Medical.
