Short Description
The Air Cushion switch is a pneumatic switch system which consists of a cushion connected via a tube to a switch box. The switch box has a cable that connects into the device to be activated. Mechanical pressure on the air cushion activates the switch. Tactile feedback is provided, but no direct auditory feedback.
Factors to Consider
Mild pressure to activate switch may be suitable for a person with reduced strength.
No auditory feedback is provided therefore the switch may need to be placed in the user's line of vision.
