Arjo Bravo

Short Description
The Arjo Bravo is an English made ceiling track hoist which is electrically operated via a push button hand control. A single track version is available to cover specific areas or a room covering system which enables transfers to be completed anywhere within the room. A heavy duty option is available for the bariatric population.

More Details
Controls
Movement of the hoist is controlled via a waterproof handset attached to the unit by a curly cord.
The hand control features colour coded directional arrows. It is powered with 5 volts.
One or several stopping points, such as over the bath can be preset to simplify positioning.
The motor offers three functions of power to the system. These are power raising and lowering only (2 function), power raising, lowering, left and right movement (4 function) and power raising, lowering, left, right and forward and backward movement.(6 function)
The hoist is able to lift from the floor, and the lifting range is adjusted to the requirements of the installation.

Tracking
The rails are mounted with a protective strip concealing all attachment points.
All power connections are concealed within the tracking.
The room covering system features parallel tracks at each end of the room with another track bridging between them, enabling forward, backward, left and right movement across the room.
Curved tracking is available to cover specific areas within a room and the degree of curve can be varied to suit the requirements of the installation.

Spreader Bar
A variety of speader bar configurations are available including a powered option.
The four point tilting spreader bar allows positioning in a sitting, semi-reclining or reclining position.
The spreader bar features a handle to assist in positioning.
A stretcher spreader bar can lift an occupant who is lying down.

Power and Charging
The unit is operated by 24V DC.
The battery is trickle charged via the mains power.
As an option a wall mounted battery and charger are available.
Hoist load capacity is rated according to the installation environment (ceiling structure).

Slings
Five different types of Arjo slings are available including a standard sling for general lifting, a padded sling for extra comfort, a mesh sling, a toileting sling and a double amputee sling. Further information can be obtained on Arjo slings from the Independent Living Centre (number reference 44.01.014).
The sling connections are designed to snap onto the attachment points on the spreader bar.
Limit switches prevent the person from being raised too high and stops the hoist from continuing to lower after the person has reached the support surface. In the event of hoist failure, an overspeed safety device will stop it lowering.
A tape slack switch will prevent tape from winding off the spreader bar if the spreader bar meets an obstruction.
An angle detector prevents the occupant from being raised within a safe lifting zone, preventing any pendulum movement.
