Factors to Consider
Large size wheels and frame may limit this wheelchairs manoeuvrability compared with other electric wheelchairs. This may not be suitable for indoor or built up areas.
Large wheels and base need to be considered for transfers.
This item should be trialled in the user's own environment to ensure maximum safety and independence. Environmental considerations include eg: kerbs, footpaths, tram and railway crossings, street crossings, etc.


Short Description
This Australian made four wheel drive powered wheelchair is designed for use on rough, uneven surfaces such as sand, snow or farmland. Features include four large diameter, low pressure, knobby tyres, a contoured seat and backrest, and height adjustable armrests. Customised seating, powered tilt in space, powered backrest recline, bariatric size and high torque motors are options.

Frame
Powder coated steel frame.
Fibreglass body covering.
Available in burgundy, dark blue, teal and black.
Seat frame can accommodate modular seats and backrests.

Seat
Padded, contoured seat.
Flat board seats for pressure reduction cushions.
Seating can be customised aiming to improve positioning, strength, pressure reduction or function.

Backrest
Standard backrest can be manually reclined using a winding knob located on the side of the backrest.

Armrests
Wide, padded and full length armrests as standard but can be customised.
Removable by lifting a small lever at seat height, then lifting out.
Adjustable in height and width.

Footrest
A two piece footplate is standard which hinges up at the side.
Optional alternative footplates are available.

Controls
Programmable Dynamic DX series or Penny and Giles controllers.
Various control options include joystick, t-bar, chin, and mouth.
Optional drop down controller available to assist approach to tables.

Batteries
40 amp hr sealed batteries standard.
73 amp hr sealed batteries optional.
Sonnenschein batteries.
A separate charger is used which plugs into the control box.

Motors
Four 24 volt motors.
All motors are four pole.
Extreme Force 4X4 has high torque motors for a stronger drive.

Wheels
Four black pneumatic low pressure knobby tyres.
Four grey 890mm wide tyres are available that are suitable for outdoor terrain that does requires less traction.
