Short Description
In South Australia, a person who wants to use modified car controls, including spinner steering knobs, should contact the medical clerk of the licence section, Motor Registration Division in Adelaide, to notify them of any medical details which may be appropriate.

The medical clerk would arrange for the person to contact the driver development centre to arrange for a driving assessment to be undertaken.

Driving Lessons are available through several driving instructors who specialise in working with drivers who have disabilities.

NOTE: Drivers using two hands can drive vehicles which have spinner knobs attached, if they also drive the same vehicle as the one-handed driver. Only the one-handed driver needs their licence endorsed indicating that they must drive using a spinner knob.
