Features
Les Brazier offers a free consultation to establish individual user needs and preferences.

Some of the different services and products supplied and fitted include:

Spinner Knob - a quick release, round plastic knob which can be clamped to a steering wheel. Available in black and grey.

Hand controls - radial-push type, operated by pushing forward to brake and pull down to accelerate. Can be removed if needed, and can be fitted to most cars. Twist grip hand controls can be fitted to some cars. The hand controls are designed to allow the use of either the controls or the pedals. Minimal alteration to the vehicle is necessary.

Left Foot Accelerator - folds up when not required. The existing accelerator can be hinged so it can be folded up to allow extra leg room when not in use.

Foot Pedal Extensions - can be customised to suit the user.

Indicator extensions or relocation - to compliment the use of the hand controls and spinner knob.

Other driving modifications include: a range of radio controlled and infrared driving aids, electronic controls for lights, auto clutch systems and braking adaptations (including power parking brakes)

Engineering consultant available, and vehicle inspections and compliance arranged with Transport SA.

Additional Comment
Inspection of Modifications
In South Australia modifications to a vehicle must be inspected and approved by Transport SA.

Driver's Licence Requirements
A driver who has an illness or disability which affects their ability to drive is required to provide Medical Records at the Motor Registration Division with a certificate from their Doctor stating that they are fit to drive.
An assessment is arranged to establish that they have the physical ability to drive and what modifications are recommended. Further training may be necessary and a reassessment when the person can demonstrate their ability to handle the vehicle safely with the modifications.
The licence is then issued with the appropriate restrictions regarding type of vehicle and modifications required. Insurance companies should also be notified to ensure continued indemnity.

Standards
For some types of equipment, specific Australian Standards are applicable to the materials used in, and the manufacturing processes applied to products. Compliance with relevant Standards is indicated by written certification that a product has been tested and assessed as compliant with specified Australian Standards. Purchasers are advised to check with the supplier or manufacturer of an item as to its compliance with the relevant Australian Standard(s).
