Short Description
An alarm which alerts a caregiver of a person`s attempt to leave their bed or chair. A voice option allows caregivers to record a message in the person`s own language reminding them to ask for help before getting up. This option can be used in place of, or in conjunction with a tone alarm. A choice of five different alarm tones allow a specific tone to be assigned to a specific user and to ensure the tone is different to other alarms in the nearby area. It has three adjustable alarm volume settings and indicator lights verify the alarm status. Can also interface with a nurse call system. A adjustable length cord with clip is attached to the user`s clothing. Battery powered with a low battery warning light.

BATTERIES: This Personal Alarm requires four AA batteries. There is a low battery warning light.

FEATURES: Nurse call interface provides dual staff notification or allows the in-room alarm to be silenced to avoid patient disturbance. The system can contain a personalized message up to 10 seconds long in the user`s own language and recorded by a familiar voice.
There are four alarm modes (voice, tone, voice and tone, mute) which can be changed dependant on the situation. There are five alarm tones to the identification of different users and enable carers to differentiate among other alarm systems. There are three adjustable alarm volume settings.
The patient attachment cord is adjustable and ranges from 80cm to 152cm. All accessories for attachment are included in the retail price.

METHOD OF USE: The Posey Personal Alarm is designed to alert a carer of a users movement beyond a predetermined distance. There is a voice warning which can be recorded by someone familiar to the user, and in the users own language and there is also an alarm system. The alarm can be set to one of five tones to discriminate between different users. The personal alarm can be mounted to a chair, wheelchair or bed frame using a saddle mount or it may be attached directly to a surface using velcro hook and loop. The alarm works via a magnet. A cord is attached to the user by a clip, at the other end is a magnet which is attached to the alarm. If the user moves beyond the predetermined range of the cord the magnet detaches from the alarm activating it immediately.

WARRANTY: The Manufacturer offers a lifetime warranty.
