Short Description
The Base Trainer is a photo/picture/object based speech generating device which can assist an individual to relay messages when their speech is not meeting their communication needs. It has 4 compartments for holding pictures and/or objects, storing 4 related messages. Messages are stored with digitised speech ie. human voice recorded directly into the equipment in a similar manner to a tape recorder. Message locations can be selected (accessed) directly.

- Messages can be represented on the keys by a system to suit the user such as pictures, photos, commercially available symbols, or objects.
FEATURES: - The Base Trainer allows for messages to be stored under each single switch plate.
- The Base Trainer has a card holder and a velcro strip that assists with object discrimination.
- Four 5cm wide slots for cards.
- Input/Output jack for a cable to be connected enabling the switch plates to activate toys, appliances and other devices.
MEMORY CAPACITY: - Can store 4 messages with 8 seconds of recording time each.
BATTERY:- Four AA batteries.
