Short Description
The Tech/Talk is a speech generating device which has 8 cell locations. Messages are stored with digitised speech. Models available vary according to the amount of message recording time and number of separate levels to programme for different situations or users. The Tech/Talk is accessed directly. It allows for messages to be stored under single cells. One model available for indirect access. Can be customised.

Features
INPUT: Coverage vocabulary (Pictures, symbol or word display relevant to the user).

OUTPUT: Digitised Speech (human voice) recorded directly onto the device in a similar manner to a tape recorder.

KEY CELL No.: 8 cells in a 2 x 4 layout. In-built, high profile keyguard.

KEY/CELL SIZE: Each message cell is approximately 5cm x 5cm

MEMORY CAPACITY: Each message area can hold either 4.5 seconds or 9 seconds of recorded speech depending on model chosen.

POWER: Tech/Talk devices are powered by 4 AA batteries.

Models
Models vary according to levels, recording time, jacks and colour.
The following models are available:
Models available with 6, 8, or 12 levels.
Standard model with recording time for each message of 4.5 seconds.
Extended model with recording time for each message of 9.0 seconds.
Models available with or without jacks in standard or extended recording time.
One model contains 8 input Jacks

Available in two colours:
Black on Grey (BG)
White on Blue (WB)

Tech/Talk with environmental control options - two models available:
These models have 6 levels and standard message recording time of 4.5 secs per message
One model has input jacks for switch access

Method Of Use
The user directly selects messages from the paper overlay placed on the face of the device, using the hand or pointing device
Individual cells can be accessed via external switches on models with input jacks
