Tech/Speak

Short Description
The Tech/Speak is a speech generating device which has 32 locations. Messages are stored with digitised speech. The Tech/Speak is accessed directly through the membrane-type keyboard. The Tech/Speak allows for messages to be stored under single cells as well as having separate levels to programme for different situations or users. Models vary according to number of levels and recording times available. Can be customised.

Features
INPUT: Coverage vocabulary (pictures, symbols or word display relevant to user).

OUTPUT: Digitised speech (human voice) recorded directly onto the device in a manner similar to a tape recorder.

DISPLAY: Customisable according to coverage vocabulary appropriate to the user. High profile, built-in keyguard.

MEMORY CAPACITY: Standard model has 2.25 seconds recording time for each individual message area. Extended recording time model has up to 4.5 seconds each message area.

2, 4, 6, and 12 levels available.

POWER: Tech Speak devices are powered by 4 AA batteries. Recorded messages will not be lost if the batteries go flat.

The user selects messages from a paper overlay placed on the face of the device.
Direct access only - using hand or pointing device.
