Method of Adjustment
The supplier will fit the controls to either the right or the left
There is an adjustment on the wheelchair to alter the mechanical advantage of the propelling mechanism.
In the low position, the chair is very easy to propel on the level but if pushing up a slope, it needs to be raised, which requires more strength to push the steering handle.

Method Of Use
The Poirier wheelchair has 2 levers on either the right or left side of the chair.
The small lever, near the wheel, selects forward, reverse or free wheeling.
The steering handle is further forward and extends up above the height of the armrest but is removable to allow the user to approach a table or side transfer to a chair or onto a bed.
1. Select forward or reverse.
