More Details
The user has a choice of a range of receivers and transmitters. There are four receivers and four transmitters. These include:

TRANSMITTERS

1. Doorbell Transmitter
Alerts when a person is at the door. The transmitter is placed at the door next to the existing electronic or mechanical doorbell. The transmitter is activated by mechanical or electrical doorbells via a built in microphone and coil, it then transmits a radio signal to the various Visit receivers. No wiring is required, it is powered by a 9 volt battery. Microphone sensitivity can be adjusted.

2. Telephone / Multi Purpose Transmitter
This transmitter is connected to the telephone line. The transmitter is activated by incoming telephone calls and then transmits a radio signal to the various receivers in the Visit system.
Can also be programmed as a person alarm or alerting device -
The telephone transmitter can also be used as a push button transmitter, which is activated by pressing the red test button. In addition, the telephone transmitter can be triggered externally by eg. an external push button, an entry mat or relay. These accessories are connected either via the terminal below the battery lid or via the 3.5mm plug at the side of the unit.

3. Smoke Alarm
A battery operated ionization type smoke alarm. The smoke alarm makes a loud alarm sound, plus, as it is a transmitter, the pager, flash or portable receiver also receives the signal that the smoke alarm has been activated.

4. Baby Cry Monitor
Alerts when a baby is crying. It has 3 sensitivity levels to suit different situations and has a time delay of up to 60 seconds before the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver. Operated by 2 x 1.5v type LR14 batteries.

RECEIVERS

1. Pager
Receives radio signals (64 different radio channels) from any of the transmitters and alerts with different vibrations and different coloured LED lights for the various calls / alarms. The pager is portable allowing the user to move around the home / garden environment. It can be carried in a pocket / clipped on a belt - and it is operated by a 1.5 volt alkaline battery type LR03, or rechargeable battery type NiMH AAA.
When used with a rechargeable battery, the Pager can be recharged over night using the Visit Charger.
The pager can be used in conjunction with the Bed Shaker at night to alert the sleeping user that one of the transmitters has been activated. With the bed shaker plugged into the charger, and the pager placed in the charger, a light on the pager indicates from which transmitter the signal was received. With a bed shaker connected, the pager will not vibrate when activated, instead the bed shaker will vibrate according to the same pattern as the pager.

2. Portable Receiver
Receives radio signals (64 different radio channels) from the transmitters and alerts with an adjustable audible tone and a flashing red indicator light for each of the transmitters. Includes adjustable volume control (Volume can be adjusted from 0 to 90dB SPL). Portable - can be placed anywhere in or around the house.

3. Flash Receiver
A portable strobe light that receives signals from all Visit transmitters. Receives signals from the transmitters and alerts with flashes and different coloured LED light signals according to the settings of the transmitters. It can be connected to mains power at night to recharge its internal battery. This allows it to be placed anywhere in the home during the day. The rear of the unit has an outlet to which one Bed Shaker can be attached. There is also an outlet for connection to the telephone line.
The unit includes a built in sensor that regulates the number of flashes emitted - 12 during the day and 8 at night. When the phone rings, each ring signal will trigger 5 flashes, day or night.
The receiver includes a mounted table stand, internal rechargeable battery and mains power adaptor. A wall bracket is available as an accessory.

4. Bed Shaker
Placed under the pillow. The Bed-Shaker vibrates when activated by the Pager Charger or the Flash receiver.

OTHER
1. Charger
Mains powered. Recharges the pager when a rechargeable battery is used. Placed by the bed, up to 2 Bed Shaker receivers can be connected to the charger to alert the user to the transmitters placed through the house. A light on the pager indicates from which transmitter the signal is being received.
