Short Description
A hip protector consisting of two plastic shells, sewn into a pair of pants. The shells are designed to cover the neck of the femur and transfer the impact of a fall on the hip into the tissue surrounding the hip, reducing the risk of hip fracture. Male and female styles are available in four sizes. Models with removable shells are also available.

The shells are polypropylene, and the pants consist of cotton, polyester and lycra. A range of models is available. Available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes.
Designed to be worn over normal underwear or in conjunction with sanitary and continence pads if required. It is advised by the manufacturer that shaped pads be worn.
Models
Safehip Classic - the shields are sewn into pants made of cotton that can be both machine washed and tumble dried. Available as unisex with elasticated waist and no perineal opening, male pant in boxer short design with wide elastication and button fly, female pant with lace elastic waist and no perineal opening.

Safehip Plus - the removable shields fit into pockets on either side of the pants. Available in female pant with lace elastic and no perineal opening and male pant in boxer short design with button fly and wide elasticated waist. Additional pants can be purchased separately.
