Short Description
A portable alternating air pressure cushion designed for users up to very high risk of developing pressure sores or with an existing pressure sore around the seating area. It comprises of nine alternating air cells with a portable pump kit. The pump has audio and visual alarms for when power fails or when pressure is too low. One model only.

Features
Pump Unit
Portable pump unit that weighs 2.8kgs.
The pump has an on / off switch and a manual pressure control which is set according to the user's weight and position.
The pump supplies air to each alternate chamber resulting in a ten minute cycle of alternative inflation and deflation.
Written guide on the side of the pump unit.
Cushion
Bacteria resistant, polyurethane material.
Nine individual cylindrical air chambers that span the full width of the cushion and have a 1 in 2 alternating cycle.
The chambers press stud into place and are separated from the cushion base and each other so that they can be removed and replaced if punctured.
The cylindrical chambers are attached to the base mattress with corner buckle straps.
Cushion overlay made from with buckle straps on each corner of the cushion.
Pump and mattress connectors have a snap lock mechanism to minimise accidental disconnection.
Cushion Cover
Breathable, water resistant, two way polyurethane stretch material
Fire retardant.
Alarms
Light and audible alarms when power fails or when there is low pressure in the cells.
Accessories
A bracket enables the pump to be attached onto the chair.
Transport
The tubes can be disconnected from the pump and by connecting them into each other, the pressure in the overlay will be maintained for up to two hours.
Maintenance
The supplier states that the overlay may be sponged down.
The pumps can be repaired.
If an air chamber is punctured the whole air chamber can be removed and a replacement chamber press can be studded into place.
