Joystick and controller
Programmable electronic controller with joystick.
The controller can be mounted on either side of the wheelchair.
Heavy duty and swing away, retractable mounted option are available.
DUFCO specialty controls are available.
Seat and frame
The Zippie P500 has a rigid base.
Provides multiple growth adjustments. Seat depth and width can be adjusted, and back height and footplate height can be adjusted.
Seat width can be adjusted.
Seat depth ranges can be adjusted.
A range of adjustable back heights.
Tilt in space feature with up to a 30° tilting angle.
A non tilt bracket is available to provide fixed seat angles which are adjustable in 3 degree increments (ranging from 0 to 15 degrees depending on frame width). It replaces the tilt in space lock mechanism.
Removable stroller handle extension option.
The wheelchair's design accepts a wide variety of seating options for specialised seating and positioning needs.
Footrests and footplates
Swing away, removable footrests and flip up footplates.
Elevating or articulating leg rests as an option.
60, 70 and 90 degree angle swing away footrests are available as standard.
Composite footplates with heel loops are provided as standard. Options include aluminium footplates, angle adjustable footplates, a 90 degree angle footboard with a leg strap, a platform flip up footplate, and toe loops.
Footplate extension loops are also available.
Armrests
Height adjustable, removable armrests as standard.
Adjustable height, flip up locking armrests as an option.
Desk length of full length armrests can both be provided as standard.
Brakes
Push to lock manual brakes are provided as standard.
Pull to lock manual brakes and 150mm (6') extension levers are options.
Motors
Direct drive motors.
Travel up to 32km and up to speeds of 8km/h.
DUFCO control options
The DUFCO specialty controllers include a central controller called the Multimode Interface, which can be mounted on the armrest with a display or remotely mounted without a display. The various controlling devices then attach to the Multimode Interface.
These include a proportional head control, which operates by applying pressure to the centre and sides of the headrest pad.
A tri switch head control, which involves three switches being mounted to the head control. The switches can be mounted in any location accessible to the user.
An attendant joystick control which provides remote attendant operation of the wheelchair. A proportional joystick is incorporated into this control.
