Axle assemble is available only to manufacturers.
TracChair will not retrofit the axle assembly into an existing chair.
Also available to purchase as a manufacturer's kit to be fitted into other conventional manual wheelchair.

Short Description
TrackChair is a drive mechanism for rigid manual wheelchairs with two high grade plastic hand rims on each drive wheel. It has quick release drive wheels with an axle that allows the chair to be fully controlled by one hand. Other features include height and angle adjustable backrest, foam padded seat with tension adjustment, clothing guard and height adjustable one piece footplate. Dismantles into parts for transport. Dismantling for transport
Dismantles into four parts: two wheels, seat and the axle.
The back rest folds down against the seat cushion by loosening two adjuster knobs and the whole can be then be put into a Station wagon type vehicle.
To remove wheels, unclip the wheel claps on each wheel.
Remove both wheels with Axle.
Each wheel houses the mechanisms and weighs four kilograms each.
Then slide each wheel off the axle.

2:1 Ratio stub axles- low gear operation
Two stub axle that convert the drive to a permanent 2:1 drive requiring only half the force to drive and steer the wheelchair.
