Short Description
The Jay Care Back replaces the slung backrest upholstery on a wheelchair. It consists of a firm moulded outer shell with foam padding attached with hook and loop. It mounts onto the wheelchair backrest posts by brackets and is removable allowing the wheelchair to be folded. The manufacturer states that it is designed to accommodate a kyphotic posture and it is available in a range of sizes.

Features
The Jay Care Back can be used with the Jay Care Cushion (Deis number 43.63.023) to form the Jay Care Seating System.
The aluminium brackets which attach the backrest to the wheelchair allow for adjustment in angle, height and depth.
The padding is segmented and contoured to support a kyphotic posture. Lateral support is featured.
A machine washable stretch cover is included.
Lateral support wedges can be added to reduce the seating width and increase the level of support.
Sizes
Regular Adult has a backrest width range of 430 to 450mm.
Large Adult has a backrest width range of 480 to 500mm.
Narrow Adult has a backrest width range of 380 to 400mm.
