Factors to Consider
All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg. correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level), a different product may need to be considered.
It is also important to ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front.

A light weight, non-adjustable, air-foam floatation cushion which has a built in air-release device that automatically releases a portion of air when the user sits on the cushion. Materials
The cushion consists of Reflex foam bonded to a puncture and water resistant polyester fabric and has a built in air-release device.
Cover
Removable, machine washable incontinence cover.
Non-slip underside with hook and loop.
Features
The foam in the sacral-ischial area of the cushion is perforated to allow maximum pressure reduction in this area.
The foam conforms to the users and the users weight is distributed over the surface of the cushion.
A built in air-release device automatically releases a portion of air when the users sits on the cushion.
The air-release device allows a fixed amount of immersion and prevents bottoming out.
When weight is taken off the cushion, it automatically re-inflates.
