Factors to Consider
All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg. correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level), a different product may need to be considered.
It is also important to ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front.
Short Description
A contoured 80mm thick cushion comprising a combination of foam and air flotation. An air valve enables the user to release air from the cushion to customise the fit. An incontinence washable cover with a slip resistant base is standard. The supplier states that the cushion is appropriate for a user at medium risk of developing pressure areas. The cushion is available in ten sizes including four paediatric sizes.

Materials
The seat support is comprised of an 80mm(3") thick, contoured foam base with a square air insert under the buttocks.
Firmer foam is located around the edges of the cushion and in between the legs, providing stability and correct thigh and pelvis positioning.
Softer foam is located under the buttocks and thighs.
Cover
Cover is machine washable and flame retardant.
Either standard mesh(non-waterproof) or incontinence cover with breathable two-way stretch material is available.
The underside of the cover is slip-resistant.
Adjustment
Unweight the cushion and open the valve, which will enable the cushion to self inflate.
Close the valve and sit on the inflated cushion.
Then open the valve and let the air flow out until you are sitting on approximately 13mm (1/2") of air support, then close the valve.
The cushion then remains in the contoured position.
Cushion can be re-inflated by opening the valve again once the weight has been taken off it.
