Factors to Consider

Jay cushions are designed to fit the individual dimensions of the user. Sunrise Medical are able to add foam rails to their Jay range of cushions to extend seat width or depth. This may assist if the dimensions of the user and the wheelchair vary. This can be completed at no additional cost at time of ordering.
Short Description
The Jay Care cushion is a one piece design which integrates the Jay Flow Fluid Pad with the base. It is curved underneath to facilitate a level sitting surface when placed on slung wheelchair upholstery. The manufacturer states that this cushion is designed primarily for a person with moderate risk of skin breakdown and who sits in a slumped position, or with a fixed posterior pelvic tilt.

Features
This cushion can be used in conjunction with the Jay Care Back, to form the Jay Care Seating System.
It is shaped to provide a well at the rear of the cushion to minimise forward sliding.
The outer casing is moisture resistant.
The Jay Fluid pad has left and right sections to prevent side to side movement of the fluid.
The cushion is slip resistant underneath and is curved for placement on slung wheelchair upholstery to provide a level sitting base.
The cover is machine washable and incontinence resistant. An Air Exchange or air permeable cover is optional.
