Factors to Consider
The footrest height is fixed. This may reduce the seating support for some users.
A basket under the seat and optional armrest bag may provide storage for small items when the wheelchair is in use.
This may be useful for those wanting independent powered mobility on even surfaces such as shopping centres, and who are able to dismantle the wheelchair and lift it into transport such as a car boot.
This item should be trialled in the user's own environment to ensure maximum safety and independence. Environmental considerations include eg: kerbs, footpaths, tram and railway crossings, street crossings, etc.
Short Description
A compact, rear wheel drive, battery powered wheelchair that dismantles into four parts for transport. This features a rigid frame suitable for indoor use or outdoor use on level surfaces. It has a one piece, flip up, plastic footrest. The seat is plastic moulded with padding and synthetic upholstery. There is a folding backrest. It has flip up, padded, removable, full length armrests that are width adjustable, and have a joystick control attached. One size and model only. Options and accessories are available.

Controls
Penny and Giles 50 amp/hr drives VSI controller (standard).
Joystick control is generally mounted to either armrest as standard.
The VSI controller pad consists of an on and off button, battery charge indicator lights, maximum speed indicator, horn button, a button to decrease the speed and a button to increase the speed.
The proportional controller is programmable.
The controller can be locked when required.
Batteries
Two 12 volt, 12 amp/hr deep cycle batteries are standard.
Off board battery charger.
The batteries are housed in a removable box with a handle. This can be lifted off the base when the seat is removed.
Dismantling
Dismantles into four parts being the seat, battery box, front and rear sections of the base.
Options
Double bag that fits on the armrests.
