Short Description
The Glide Series 9 features rear suspension and is designed to accommodate active outdoor use. The frame is available in three sizes to suit different seat width ranges. There is a choice in the style of seating including sprung upholstery, foam and ply and slung vinyl upholstery. A joystick control is standard and powered tilt in space and backrest recline is optional.

Frame
Rigid tubular frame.
Seat depth is adjustable. The frame is available in the choice of three sizes. Small is designed for seat widths between 370mm and 430mm, Standard for seat widths from 370mm to 490mm and Custom for seat widths 490mm to 550 mm or wider.
Tilt in space is available with the choice of two settings, 5 to 28 degrees or 5 to 45 degrees. A gravity compensation mechanism is used with tilt in space to assist in maintaining the balance of the wheelchair.

Seat
There is a range of seat options.
Deluxe style consists of fully inner sprung upholstery with a contoured surface.
Foam and ply to enable customisation to individual needs.
Seat framework to accommodate other seating products and pressure care cushions.
There is a range of standard seat widths including 370mm, 400mm, 430mm, 460mm, 490mm, 520mm and 550mm.
There is a range of standard seat depths including 370mm, 400mm, 430mm, 460mm, 490mm, 520mm and 550mm.

Backrest
The Deluxe backrest consists of fully inner sprung upholstery and is contoured to provide lumbar and lateral support.
Foam and ply is an option that includes lumbar and lateral support and is able to be customised.
Slung vinyl upholstery.
Other commercially available wheelchair backrests can be mounted on the frame.
Powered backrest recline is optional.

Headrest
A headrest is optional and is depth and height adjustable.

Armrests
The armrests are able to flip upwards.
They are height adjustable up to 75mm.
The armrest is padded and upholstered in vinyl.

Legrests
Swing away legrests are standard and the footplates are height adjustable.
Manually elevating swing away legrests are available. They are adjustable in height.
Powered elevating legrests operated via the joystick control are optional.

Wheels
The standard drive wheel is pneumatic with a 305mm diameter and wide tread.
A pneumatic 360mm diameter drive wheel is optional.

Castors
The standard castors are 200mm in diameter by 50mm wide.
Pneumatic 255mm diameter castors are optional.

Controls
Both Penny and Giles and Dynamic controllers are available for use with this wheelchair.

Batteries
Two 36 amp hr sealed lead acid batteries are featured.

Customisation
Customisation of wheelchair features and dimensions is available.
