Short Description
A range of lightweight folding rear wheel drive manual wheelchairs with swing away footrests, lift up armrests, standard foam seat cushions, and quick release wheels. The range includes the Start Duro, Start Basic, Start Multi, Start Plus and Start Hemi models. Models are standardly available in a range of seat widths and depths, and some components can be adjusted by the supplier.

Features

Start Basic
Single cross bracing on steel frame with aluminium attachment parts.
Flip up plastic footplates. Inward and outward swing away footrest hangers.
Seat depth is adjustable within the range using the same slung seat upholstery.
Three seat widths available with or without upholstery.
Optional drum brakes and quick release wheels.
Available with transit wheels as an attendant propelled model.

Start Multi
Double cross bracing is optional to reinforce the aluminium frame.
Flip up plastic or aluminium footplates. Inward and outward swing away footrest hangers.
Quick release wheels.
Six seat widths available, two with reinforced frame.
Seat depth is adjustable within the range using the same slung seat upholstery on a long or a short frame. Each adjusts within 50mm.
Backrest height is adjustable.
Height adjustable arm pads.
Multi positionable rear axle mounting points.
Splayed front castors with multi positionable mounting points.
Shock absorber is optional.

Start Plus
Rear axle mounting points are adjustable to alter height and seat angle.
Double cross bracing is optional on aluminium frame.
Flip up aluminium or plastic footplates. Inward and outward swing away footplate hangers.
Quick release wheels.
Seat depth is adjustable within the range using the same slung seat upholstery on a long or a short frame. Each adjusts within 50mm.
Backrest height is adjustable.
Height adjustable arm pads.
Shock absorber system is optional.

Available with transit wheels as an attendant propelled model.

Castor adaptor and rear axle plate allows for low seat height to assist tasks such as to foot propel.
