More Details
TECHNICAL DATA APPLYING TO ALL MODELS:

BATTERY
Battery pack voltage and capacity: 24 VDC 5.2 Ah

Range per recharge: depends a lot on weight of passengers and whether they are travelling up or down. However, between 300 and 500 steps can be specified as a rough guide. If the stairclimber is in constant use, (e.g. professional mobility services) then a replacement battery pack can be fitted at any time. A mobile charger is also available to rapidly charge the battery pack during a car journey.

SAFETY
Protection against overlanding:
1) Mechanical overload protection (sliding hub)
2) Electronic overload protection

WHEELS
Main wheels: non marking grey tyres for extremely smooth operation. PT-Outdoor wheels have a diameter of 260mm. All other models have a diameter of 200mm (outer track width 297mm).

Support wheels: also feature non marking grey tyres and are permanently braked. Diameter 80mm.

CONTROLS
Intuitive controls. The most important thing is getting a feel for balance during operation. The in built angle indicator helps with this.

Models
PS OUTDOOR 120/150
. Suitable for use in the house and garden
. Rugged design for extra stability
. Has large, non marking wheels and a wider wheelbase than other models
. For use in trains, planes and automobiles
. It is narrow enough to use in the corridor on trains and gangways on planes. Raise armrest to transfer sideways.
. The PS brake wheels activate the powerful braking system inside the rims of the main wheels. Tilting the stair climber back slightly gradually applies the brakes, so there is no risk of the running away with you on slopes and ramps

PS 120/150
Suitable for home use
The PS is the most adept model in the range for negotiating very steep and winding stairs.
There are two models of PS and PS-Outdoor available; the 150 (designed to transport persons weighing up to 150 kg) and the 120 (designed to transport persons weighing up to 120 kg).
Fitted with seat and armrests

The operator always has a relaxed posture and a straight back while using the PS. There is no strain on the back or arms because the stair climber is balanced during operation. The operator has one hand on the crossbar and one hand on the UP - DOWN switch

Transporting
The handle, battery and lifting unit are all detached using a single lever. Both the PS and PS-Outdoor can be dismantled quickly and easily into 3 lightweight units by undoing a single lever.

PS UNI
. Transports any self or attendant propelled wheelchair plus the occupant, up and down stairs. The wheelchair is reversed onto the platform and the backrest secured in place.
. It is available in two models: 130 and 160, denoting their load capacities in kilograms for the wheelchair plus passenger.
. The headrest slides up and down easily to adjust to each passenger.
. The integral backrest restraint holds the wheelchair securely in place while in transit.
. No dismantlling is required for transporting. The platforms on the PS Uni hinge upwards to save space
. Main wheels are non marking grey tyres for extremely smooth operation. Diameter of 200mm (outer track width 297mm).
. Support wheels: also feature non marking grey tyres and are permanently braked. Diameter 80mm.

PS FOLD
PS Fold 130/160
The PS Fold has a seat for transporting people up and down stairs. With 200 mm diameter wheels and a wheelbase of 297mm, it is suitable for very steep, narrow winding stairs.
. Features intuitive controls. An in built angle indicator assists the attendant to correctly balance the stairclimber during use.
. The washable seat covering can be wiped clean, and can be removed by undoing a zip.
. Application: Patient transport and rapid response use eg in evacuation
. Can be folded for storage. Can be stored in a car boot.

PS PLUS 115
. Has its own self propelled wheelchair for transporting people up and down stairs.
. The lightweight wheelchair is already fitted with the adapters necessary for engagement with the PS stairclimber.

PS ADAPT
PS Adapt 130/160
. An attendant operated stairclimber which can be used with the PS Plus wheelchair or adapted for the user's own wheelchair.
. On either model (Plus or Adapt) there is no need to detach the stair climber. Raise the PS unit so that the wheelchair can be used normally with the stair climber still attached.
. If the PS is to be used with the person's own wheelchair, a Sano-approved workshop will fit the necessary adapters .
. With the PS Plus wheelchair folded away and the unit dismantled, the whole system fits into the boot of a small car.
Remove the wheels from the wheelchair

Options
. Head rest
. Mobile battery chargers eg car charger
