Short Description
Power tools should be ergonomically designed to reduce musculo-skeletal stresses and strains and enable an efficient use of the user's limbs. Use of a power tool instead of a manual tool may reduce some cumulative trauma risk factors.

Features to consider when buying power tools:-
. Weight - is it manageable
. Balance
. Handle design - does it have an upright handle which enables wrist and fingers to be held in a straight line (neutral position).
. Grip size and shape - does it allow a comfortable full hand power grip.
. Two hand grip - does it allow for 2 hands to be used eg some tools have a fixed position axilliary handle to allow two handed operation.
. Position of controls - are they close to handle for easy finger operation eg trigger grip. Care must be taken to avoid accidental activation of tool.
