Short Description
An attendant controlled evacuation chair used to move a person down stairways. Slung seating supports the occupant in a reclined position. Available in a non powered and powered model. The powered version allows upward and downward evacuation whereas the non powered version allows downward evacuation only.

More Details
COMMON FEATURES
. The unit glides down hallways on six auxiliary wheels. When the stairway is reached, Evacu-Trac automatically lowers onto its rubber tracks for descent.
. Unit consists of a seat with adjustable safety straps. It is mounted on pair of continuous steel reinforced rubber tracks.
. Unit folds for storage and for carrying back upstairs.
. Suitable for most stairways, landings and steep inclines.
. May be operated by one person.

NON POWERED MODEL
. The hydraulic speed governor mechanically engages with the tracks to control the descent speed at a comfortable rate.
. A speed governor and braking system allow a small attendant to evacuate a larger passenger.
. An additional mechanical brake will stop and hold Evacu-Trac on stairs. This secondary brake system also serves as a parking brake when Evacu-Trac is stopped on flat surfaces. The failsafe brake engages automatically when the attendant releases the brake lever.

POWERED MODEL
. Power Evacu-Trac is designed for upward emergency evacuation from below ground to exit level.
